Frequently asked questions

Tachograph 2026 & border relay

Starting July 1, 2026, any light commercial vehicle (LCV) over 2.5 t GVW (up to 3.5 t, trailer included) running international transport or cabotage must be fitted with a smart tachograph (Gen2) V2 (DTCO 4.1a). Drivers are subject to the driving time and rest time rules of regulation 561/2006. The measure applies to both new and existing vehicles (mandatory retrofit).

Affected vehicles are LCVs > 2.5 t running international transport or cabotage. Purely domestic transport remains subject to the 3.5 t threshold. A tradesperson carrying their own equipment is not affected. In short: the large long-distance LCV (~20 m³) moves into the heavy-goods-vehicle framework.

9 h of driving time per day (extendable to 10 h twice a week), 45 min mandatory break every 4 h 30, 11 h of daily rest time (reducible to 9 h three times between two weekly rest periods), and 56 h of driving time per week (90 h maximum over two weeks). The tachograph records everything: these limits can no longer be circumvented.

Berlin → Paris is about 1,050 km, or 10 to 11 h of driving time: it cannot legally be done in a single day. Before 2026, the van pushed through anyway because it was unregulated. Now the tachograph prevents it. Without a border relay, that means +1 day of delivery time and late parcels.

The foreign carrier stops at the French border. Easy2go takes over: border cross-dock in a few minutes, then pickup or delivery within a 300 km radius around our 7 depots, both inbound and outbound. The foreign driver never crosses France and doesn't burn their driving time. The delivery time is guaranteed.

All types of goods: from standard parcels to heavy, oversized and bulky ones. We operate same-day, next-day, express or by appointment, with a digital platform for online booking, geolocation and proof of delivery.

Yes. With 7 depots (Paris, Lille, Strasbourg, Nice, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse) and a 300 km radius around each, we pick up or deliver a parcel almost anywhere in France, and we feed any border, in both directions.

Online booking is straightforward: you provide the corridor, the volume and the date, and you receive a confirmed handover time slot and price within minutes. Easy2go is a freight forwarder (Redspher group), which secures compliance across the whole chain.
